Liquidators have been appointed for Red Sky Shepherd’s Huts Limited, a company based at Bridewell Farm in North Leigh, after a meeting on September 3.
Liquidators from Opus Restructuring LLP have been appointed with a further meeting involving the company’s creditors scheduled for September 28.

A statement on The Gazette said: “That the company be wound up voluntarily and that Mark Siddall (IP No. 028890) and Colin David Wilson (IP No. 9478) both of Opus Restructuring LLP, 1 Radian Court, Knowlhill, Milton Keynes, MK5 8PJ be and are hereby appointed Joint Liquidators for the purpose of such winding up.”
Red Sky is a family business, set up by Paul Bennett, based on the edge of the Cotswolds which creates a range of huts.
Its description states: “Our team of talented craftspeople, paint finishers, and designers share a passion for creating innovative huts that are full of character.

“We are proud specialists in designing and building bespoke shepherd’s huts, working in collaboration with you every step of the way.”
Its customers have come from across the UK and most notably include former prime minister and Witney MP David Cameron.
Following his 2016 resignation as the prime minister, leader of the Conservative party and as a member of parliament, he purchased one of the huts to write his memoirs in.

Now Baron Cameron of Chipping Norton, he spent £25,000 on the hut in 2017 in which he penned ‘For the Record’ which was published in 2019.
According to the Red Sky website, Mr Cameron said: “I basically Googled shepherd huts, found Paul’s company and I liked the look of the website.
“They were also local, which was very good.”

The hut was designed in a classic shepherd hut shape with an arched roof, metal wheels and painted hardwood stable doors.
It was a timber frame construction with tongue and groove interior pine walls.
Referring to his wife, Mr Cameron added: “Samantha makes all the design decisions in this family. As ever she has made a very good choice.”
When asked about the increasing popularity of shepherd huts, which is in part because they don’t require planning permission, he said his was “particularly lovely”.

He said: “Yes – they are sprouting up everywhere – but I think this one is particularly lovely. It’s a very nice colour, which goes with the Cotswold stone and we really love it.”

In its latest accounts, for the year to September 30, 2025, the company recorded creditors falling within one year of £509,303.
This included for bank loans and overdrafts, trade creditors and taxation and social security.
Its average number of employees was put down at 14, having been 11 in 2024.
Red Sky Shepherd’s Huts has been approached for comment.
