The new series will delve into the earlier years of the Bridgerton family matriarch, Lady Violet, played by Ruth Gemmell, showcasing her passionate affair with Viscount Edmund Bridgerton.
Although set in Regency-era London, some of the most memorable scenes in Netflix’s Bridgerton and its spin-off, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, were filmed at Blenheim Palace in Woodstock.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site was transformed into the fictional Buckingham House for Queen Charlotte, while locations including the Water Terraces, Long Library, Saloon and State Rooms have all featured on screen.
The palace’s famous Water Terraces were used for the lavish final ball in Queen Charlotte, while the Saloon hosted scenes between Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury.
Elsewhere in the Cotswolds, Badminton House in Gloucestershire has been used for several aristocratic interiors, including scenes linked to the Duke of Hastings and Lady Danbury
The Oxfordshire stately home has become one of the series’ most recognisable filming locations.
