A proposal to alter the former site of Craft Burger in Windmill Road was submitted to the city council in January by the new leaseholder, who plans to open a ramen restaurant in its place.
Signs for the new business are now in place but an opening date has not yet been confirmed.

The owners said in a statement: “We’re ramen obsessives, flavour seekers, and broth believers.
“Every noodle is hand-crafted, every broth slow-simmered, and every ingredient prepped with care in our behind-the-scenes kitchen.
“From our sake-stocked bar to the open kitchen action, every corner of Ramen Koncept is alive with craft, vibes, and intention.
“Soon, you’ll be able to slurp, savour, and experience it all right here in Headington.”
The American-style, independent burger bar shut down unexpectedly in November last year, with the lease for the business premises advertised for sale to a new restaurateur.
It was then announced that Ramen Koncept, a brand new company offering handmade ramen would be opening in its place.
Seven employees are expected to run the restaurant daily between 11am and 10pm.
Craft Burger was a popular diner for nine years before it closed.
At the time of closing, the owners issued a statement which said: “After many amazing years of serving our community, we have made the difficult decision to close Craft Burger.
“Since 2016, we’ve had the honour of sharing great food, cold brews, and countless memories with our loyal customers.

“From the bottom of our hearts – thank you for your support, laughter and friendship over the years.
“Though our doors are closing, the memories will always stay open.”
Ramen Koncept has been advertising for staff, who are “passionate about delivering excellent customer experience, and are positive, friendly, and great with people”.
