Thames Valley Police had released CCTV images of two men officers wanted to speak to following the reported theft of a WiFi router from the Eurobar Hotel in George Street, Oxford.
The force said it believed the pair could have vital information to assist its investigation and appealed for the public’s help in identifying them.
However, in an update issued on Wednesday, September 30, police confirmed the two individuals had now been identified.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “Earlier today (30/9), we published images of two men we wanted to speak to in relation to a burglary investigation at the Eurobar Hotel in George Street, as we believe they have vital information that can assist us.
“The two people have now been identified and come forward, so we have now removed our appeal and images.
“Thank you to those who shared our appeal.”
The original appeal related to the reported theft of a WiFi router from the hotel. Police have not released any further details about the investigation.
The CCTV images that accompanied the appeal have now been removed from Thames Valley Police’s channels following the identification of the two men.
