NikeSkims has made its China debut with a slow pop-up at Shanghai‘s luxury shopping mall HKRI Taikoo Hui.
Occupying a storefront previously home to an IWC Schaffhausen boutique, the pop-up is slated to run for five months, opening to the public on Sept. 29, days ahead of the seven-day National Day holiday.
Kim Kardashian, who showed up in the brand’s sculpted satin getup, made an intimate appearance at the Upper House next door, signed a fan’s rare Birkin bag and checked out the store with her team.
Alongside Kris Jenner — known on Chinese social media as “queen of manifestation” — and Khloé Kardashian, local celebrities in attendance included swimmer Stephanie Au, basketball player Li Meng, track and field athlete Liu Yinglan, actresses Vanda Li and Zhuang Dafei, singers Jike Junyi and Lexie Liu, as well as supermodel and actress Zhao Jiali.

As NikeSkims’ first physical destination in China, the Shanghai pop-up showcases the complete NikeSkims fall 2026 Edit 01 collection, which features pieces with the new Performance Cotton Blend that incorporates Nike‘s Dri-Fit technology. The collection includes apparel, accessories and the NikeSkims Rift Satin split-toe sneakerina shoes in new hues of earth-toned brown. Sizes run up to medium to reflect local market needs.
The immersive pop-up, which features localized services such as tailoring of select products, is the brand’s largest and longest-running to date. Community events, which shoppers can learn more about by adding a community manager’s WeChat onsite, will also be hosted in the space.
Other than the HKRI Taikoo Hui pop-up, some of the NikeSkims fall lineup will also be available at Lane Crawford’s Shanghai store.
The first NikeSkims drop came in the fall, presenting 58 styles in seven collections. Pieces were debuted at a performance presentation at the New York Public Library.
Recent NikeSkims pop-ups include a Paris location at 10 Rue de Turenne, A New York pop-up at The Corner inside Nordstrom’s flagship, and a London pop-up at Selfridges.
