Harrison’s Fish & Chip Co. on Elms Parade, in Oxford has been included in the longlist for the Takeaway of the Year category in the National Fish & Chip Awards, now in their 39th year.
The awards are recognised as one of the highest honours in the industry, celebrating excellence in food quality, customer service, industry expertise, and sustainable practices.

The Takeaway of the Year category is supported by some of the biggest names in the sector and highlights the hard work and ambition of operators who deliver exceptional food experiences to their communities.

The awards, with Seafood from Norway as principal sponsor, are designed to raise standards and encourage innovation across the fish and chip industry.
This year, there are 14 categories, including Restaurant of the Year, Drywite Young Fish Frier of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Field to Frier, Mobile Operator of the Year, and Environment and Sustainable Business.
The Takeaway of the Year category remains one of the most coveted distinctions in the profession.

Other nominees include Bishopston Fish Bar in Bristol, The Hook of Halstead in Essex, and The Cottage in Blackpool.
The competition also features regional favourites from Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
The awards aim to showcase businesses that consistently deliver high-quality food and service while demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
