Austin May Medical Ltd, founded in 2011 and based in Rotherfield Greys, Henley-on-Thames, specialised in medical recruitment consultancy services and employed an average of around 11 people.
A meeting in August confirmed the business was unable to pay its debts and would therefore be wound up voluntarily, with liquidators appointed the same day, according to notices published in The Gazette.
Insolvency documents submitted to Companies House estimate the company’s deficiency to creditors at £453,682. The statement of affairs lists liabilities including £420,000 owed to HM Revenue and Customs relating to PAYE and VAT, alongside debts to banks, directors and other creditors.
The documents show total creditor claims of £458,682, while assets expected to be realised were estimated at just £5,000, primarily from the value of the company’s goodwill. The value of a directors’ loan account was described as uncertain and subject to further investigation by the liquidator.
According to the statement of affairs, the company owed around £34,000 to banking institutions and £2,680 to directors, alongside smaller amounts to trade and expense creditors. HMRC accounted for the vast majority of liabilities.
Former director Davinder Dhami has since issued a legal notice stating his intention to be involved in carrying on substantially the same business through another company, Ammlocums Ltd, trading as Xanderhendrix Healthcare.
The notice was published under insolvency legislation governing the reuse of a company name following liquidation.
