Dijon, who was found on the side of the road by a member of the public, was brought to Ardley Rescue Kennels in Bicester on August 14, 2025.
He was found with multiple ailments, including two broken ankles and an elbow fracture, meaning he has a hard time walking, sitting, or even lying comfortably.
The boarding and rescue kennels, which are a registered charity, have since launched a GoFundMe to raise £4,000, reaching £3,010 from over 100 donors in the last month.

During the last three weeks, he has been cleared of lungworm and a bacterial infection in his ears after intensive vet treatment.
CT scans and ultrasound scans have fortunately ruled out any other diseases, while fractured teeth have been removed, caused by multiple lesions in his mouth which went all the way through his gums.
The road to recovery is still long, though, with costly surgery still needed for the three fractures, which will be carried out by Professor Gareth Arthur, a specialist orthopaedic surgeon.
A heart scan to rule out pulmonary hypertension, high blood pressure in the arteries, caused by the lung infection.

Annabelle Pottle from the centre said: “Dijon has done amazingly well to overcome the conditions he had. If these had been left untreated, he would not have survived.
“We are so proud of him, but he still has a bit of a journey ahead of him.”
