Banbury Pakistani restaurant for sale one year after opening

Lahori’s Pakistani Restaurant and Grill in Broad Street, Banbury, has been listed for sale for £150,000, less than a year after if opened to customers on April 16, 2025.

The restaurant was founded by Muhammad Yasir and Ali Sheraz, both of whom qualified as chefs in Lahore, Pakistan, working at ‘prestigious establishments’ in the country’s second city before relocating the UK in 2008.

After stints with brands such as Crowne Plaza, Hilton and Holiday Inn, the pair opened the restaurant in Banbury to bring ‘the authentic flavours of Pakistan’ to the town’.

The listing said: “With a modern décor that blends vibrant aesthetics and a welcoming atmosphere, this establishment has become a beloved spot for locals.

“Its well-equipped kitchen features high-quality cooking appliances and ample storage, ensuring operations run smoothly.

“The dining space is designed for versatility, comfortably accommodating various group sizes, which adds to its appeal.

“The restaurant’s prominent outdoor signage enhances visibility and brand recognition, attracting potential customers passing by.

“Inside, the charming floral ceiling decorations and colourful hanging lights create an enchanting dining experience, setting the stage for memorable meals.”

The listing said the business is being sold for ‘personal reasons’ but no further details have been shared, and Lahori’s continues trading in Broad Street as normal.

Lahori’s Restaurant has been approached for comment.
