\n The 40 service, operated by Pulhams, runs between Ashchurch for Tewkesbury train station, Tewkesbury town centre, and Cotswolds Designer Outlet.\n<\/p>\n
\n It will now extend to include the Fiddington Fields housing development and operate daily as part of the expanded service.\n<\/p>\n
\n Adam Keen, interim general manager at Pulhams, said: “We\u2019re delighted to be enhancing our timetable for the 40 service for shoppers and regular bus users alike, while welcoming our brand-new electric buses to the route.\n<\/p>\n
\n “This was a prestigious contract to secure initially, providing a sustainable mode of transport, and the improved service shows what is possible through excellent partnership working.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We\u2019re excited also to welcome potential new passengers at Fiddington Fields and thank the support from both Cotswolds Designer Outlet and Persimmon Homes as we reach new customers.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The improvement follows growing demand and a recent investment of \u00a38.17 million, which funded 15 new electric buses and upgrades to Pulhams\u2019 Cheltenham depot.\n<\/p>\n
\n Cotswolds Designer Outlet, which opened last summer, has helped drive demand for more frequent and wider-reaching public transport options.\n<\/p>\n
\n Adrian Field, centre manager at Cotswolds Designer Outlet, said: “To be able to offer a service which connects the Outlet with Tewkesbury town centre, the train station and the residents of Fiddington Fields seven days a week is fantastic news for everybody.\n<\/p>\n
\n “The service will benefit so many residents, shoppers, workers, and businesses with this enhanced level of connectivity.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The shuttle bus service is free for outlet visitors who spend more than \u00a320 on the day and present receipts.\n<\/p>\n
\n The bus stop is located on Loverose Way, east of the outlet through Car Park C.\n<\/p>\n
\n Claire Burton, managing director at Persimmon Homes Severn Valley, said: “We\u2019re pleased to see the shuttle bus service expanding and delighted that Fiddington Fields will now be part of the route.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Good transport links are an important part of creating well-connected communities, and this enhanced service will provide our residents with convenient, sustainable access to the Designer Outlet, the station, and Tewkesbury town centre.\n<\/p>\n
\n “As a prominent developer providing vital new homes in the area, we\u2019re proud to support initiatives that make a real difference to everyday life for local people.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The shuttle will run every 30 minutes throughout the day and operate during outlet opening hours.\n<\/p>\n
\n Earlier services will now start from Fiddington Fields at 6.45am on weekdays and 7.15am on Saturdays.\n<\/p>\n
\n Standard fares are \u00a32 for a single journey and \u00a33 for a return, with English local authority concessionary bus passes accepted.\n<\/p>\n
