{"id":846,"date":"2026-04-02T19:19:26","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T19:19:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stock789.top\/?p=846"},"modified":"2026-04-02T19:19:26","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T19:19:26","slug":"zero-ceases-trading-with-app-to-shut-down-by-end-of-march","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stock789.top\/?p=846","title":{"rendered":"Zero ceases trading with app to shut down by end of March"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordmail.co.uk\/resources\/images\/20701375\/\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n  Fintech app Zero ceased trading on March 18 as it was unable to raise additional funding, Money Saving Expert (MSE) revealed.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Zero said it plans to keep the app open until next Tuesday (March 31), but added it &#8220;can&#8217;t guarantee this&#8221;.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n    Zero plans to keep its app open until Tuesday 31 March, but it&#8217;s said it can&#8217;t guarantee this \u2013 so it&#8217;s best to act now.<\/p>\n<p>We take you through what&#8217;s happening and what it means for your savings:https:\/\/t.co\/Ob2PQcTuSA pic.twitter.com\/cBjKalonSj\n  <\/p>\n<p>\n    \u2014 MoneySavingExpert (@MoneySavingExp) March 20, 2026\n  <\/p>\n<p>  All Zero accounts closing with the app<\/p>\n<p>\n  There are currently more than 21,500 registered Zero app users, according to MSE .\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  All these customers have been contacted by Zero and told the next steps to take following the closure.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  As the Zero Sustainable Money App is closing, this will also include all:\n<\/p>\n<p>  Zero Personal Accounts<\/p>\n<p>  Zero Debit Mastercards<\/p>\n<p>  Planet Safe Savers<\/p>\n<p>  What to do if you have a Zero app account<\/p>\n<p>\n  Customers with a Zero Personal Account or a Planet Safe Saver are advised by MSE to &#8220;withdraw your funds as soon as possible&#8221;, ideally before March 31, when the app is due to close.\n<\/p>\n<p>  Zero Personal Account<\/p>\n<p>\n  MSE said Zero Personal Account holders should have received an email with further instructions.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The finance experts added: &#8220;However, these accounts were linked to and funded by an existing UK current account, so you should be able to withdraw your funds to that same account.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;You should still be able to withdraw funds after 31 March, but it&#8217;s best not to wait.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  You can also email zero@transactpay.com if you are experiencing any difficulties accessing funds.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  MSE continued: &#8220;These are e-money accounts, so you can&#8217;t complete a current account switch to a new provider.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Funds deposited in e-money accounts are NOT safeguarded by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>  Zero Planet Safe Saver<\/p>\n<p>\n  Funds in Zero Planet Safe Saver accounts will need to be moved via the app to the user&#8217;s personal Account. From there, it can be withdrawn.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  RECOMMENDED READING:\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  MSE added: &#8220;Transfers from Planet Safe Saver may take until 1pm the following day to arrive in your Zero personal account.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Any deposits not moved by around 26 March will be transferred automatically into your Zero Personal Account.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Cash held in the Planet Safe Saver is fully FSCS protected.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Do you have a Zero bank account affected by the app closure?
