\n Oxford City Council has partnered with Discover to launch the Discover App, which highlights ‘everything there is to shop, eat and do in the city’.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n The app is designed for both residents and visitors and is already a recognised tool for visitors and locals throughout the UK. It serves as a guide to businesses, activities and useful information.\n<\/p>\n
\n It also offers personalised updates on offers, promotions and new businesses, tailored to individuals\u2019 preferences.\n<\/p>\n
\n The Discover App is free to use for both the public and businesses, and is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, and the remaining is funded by Enterprise Oxfordshire.\n<\/p>\n
\n Councillor Alex Hollingsworth, cabinet member for planning and culture at Oxford City Council, said: “Oxford has so much to offer for locals and visitors, but trying to discover everything can be difficult.\n<\/p>\n
\n “That\u2019s where the Discover App comes in.\n<\/p>\n
\n “A free one-stop shop right in your pocket.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Perfect for trying new places or making the most of local offers.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The app covers the\u00a0central area\u00a0of Oxford, including\u00a0the city\u00a0centre, and parts of\u00a0Jericho,\u00a0Osney\u00a0and East Oxford.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n It also provides maps, tourist and travel information, family-friendly offerings, free\u00a0activities\u00a0and business listings.\n<\/p>\n
\n The Discover App supports Oxford City Council\u2019s City Centre Action Plan 2021\u20132030, which aims to improve wayfinding and visitor experience.\n<\/p>\n
\n It will continuously update with new and timely information.\n<\/p>\n
\n The app is available for download now via the Discover App website.\n<\/p>\n
