\n\tLONDON \u2014 J.Lindeberg, the Stockholm-based fashion and sportswear brand, has appointed Henrik Bunge its next chief executive officer, effective April 1.<\/p>\n
\n\tSucceeding Hans-Christian Meyer, who departed over the summer, Bunge joins from Bj\u00f6rn Borg, where he served as CEO for 12 years. His previous leadership roles include various positions at Peak Performance, Adidas Group and H\u00e4stens.<\/p>\n
\n\tSpeaking on behalf of the company\u2019s board, Lise Kaae, CEO of J.Lindeberg\u2019s majority owner Heartland, said Bunge brings \u201ca strong understanding of both the industry and what it takes to develop and build successful brands.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cWe believe he is the right person to lead J.Lindeberg forward, building on the foundation already in place while continuing to develop the business,\u201d added Kaae.<\/p>\n
\n\tCommenting on his appointment, Bunge said J.Lindeberg is a brand \u201cwith a distinctive identity, a strong heritage and great potential.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cI have followed the company for many years and have great respect for what has been built. I look forward to getting to know the organization, working with the team and continuing to strengthen the brand and develop the business,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
\n\tFounded in 1996, J.Lindeberg brings a fashion-forward perspective to golf apparel. The brand is sold in more than 35 countries. Its retail network includes 157 stores, while wholesale distribution reaches close to 2,000 stores worldwide.<\/p>\n
