\n\tContacted on Wednesday, Lacoste confirmed his departure last week, ahead of the spring 2027 show by creative director Pelagia Kolotouros, but did not give a reason.<\/p>\n
\n\tVallat could not be immediately reached for comment.<\/p>\n
\n\tStepping back into the role is his predecessor Thierry Guibert, who led the French fashion sport brand for a decade and is also currently CEO of the French brand\u2019s parent MF Brands Group and of Maus Fr\u00e8res Group, which also controls the fashion brands Gant, Aigle and Technifibre in addition to department stores, supermarkets and shopping malls.<\/p>\n
\n\tVallat joined Lacoste from R\u00e9my Cointreau Group in September 2025 with a brief to build on the momentum created under Guibert\u2019s first tenure and unlock a new chapter of growth, \u201ctrue to its identity while continuing to move confidently forward,\u201d the company said at the time.<\/p>\n
\n\tLacoste is set to \u201cpursue its strategy of premiumization supported by a solid position and robust fundamentals,\u201d a company spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
\n\tAccording to market sources, Lacoste has tripled in size over the past decade, with revenues said to be approaching 3 billion euros.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe brand has ramped up international expansion, reinforced its premium status and leveraged its positioning at the intersection of fashion and sports. Its runway offering, led by Kolotouros since 2023 and sold at selected Lacoste stores around the world, has garnered around 40 fashion retailers including Dover Street Market, Selfridges, Galeries Lafayette, Ssense and Japan\u2019s Hankyu.<\/p>\n
