\n\tUnderscoring the strength of the management bench at LVMH Mo\u00ebt Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the French luxury giant is promoting Louis Vuitton executive Clara Boissonnas to chief executive officer of Pucci, effective Jan. 1.<\/p>\n
\n\tShe is to succeed Saar Debrouwere, whose next assignment at the group is to be revealed in due course, according to an internal announcement seen by WWD.<\/p>\n
\n\tAt Pucci, Boissonnas is to report to her current boss: Pietro Beccari, chairman and CEO of LVMH Fashion Group and chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton.<\/p>\n
\n\tHer mandate is to lead the next stage of Pucci\u2019s development, \u201cfurther strengthening the maison\u2019s distinctive creative identity, desirability and international reach,\u201d according to the statement.<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cClara has made a significant contribution to Louis Vuitton through her deep product expertise, strong creative sensibility and unwavering commitment to excellence,\u201d Beccari commented. \u201cHer ability to combine creative ambition with a clear understanding of the business makes her ideally suited to lead Pucci into its next chapter.<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cI look forward to collaborating with Clara to build upon the great momentum of this iconic Florentine maison,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
\n\tAccording to LVMH, Boissonnas played a key role in shaping Vuitton\u2019s collections and contributed to its product excellence.<\/p>\n
\n\tA graduate of elite business school HEC Paris, Boissonnas started her career at Vuitton in 2002 in leather goods product management.<\/p>\n
\n\tShe went on to become accessories director at Lanvin in 2006 and six years later president of French leather goods firm Rosa Allegra. She briefly advised Byredo on its leather goods strategy before joining Kering as director of strategy and business development in 2016.<\/p>\n
\n\tShe returned to Vuitton one year later as women\u2019s leather goods product director.<\/p>\n
\n\tA Belgian fashion executive, Debrouwere assumed the management helm of Pucci in 2022 as the Florentine brand shifted to a see now, buy now presentation model, and frequent product drops under its artistic director Camille Miceli.<\/p>\n
\n\tDebrouwere joined Pucci from Shanghai-based fashion house Icicle, and before that logged eight years at Stockholm-based Acne Studios.<\/p>\n
\n\tIn Thursday\u2019s announcement, Beccari thanked Debrouwere for her \u201cremarkable leadership, vision and dedication as CEO of Pucci. Together with Camille Miceli, with whom she has built a unique complementary duo, Saar has guided the maison to a wonderful renaissance, successfully blending its rich heritage with a fresh, contemporary energy.<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cHer impact, vision and passion, amplified by this fruitful partnership, has been instrumental,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
\n\tAt LVMH Fashion Group, the CEOs at Fendi, Celine, Loewe and Kenzo all boast previous experience at Vuitton, the largest brand in the sprawling group.<\/p>\n
