Pugh claimed parts of her statement were no longer visible.

The statement was in response to allegations of a gang rape involving a former Cornell University student.

The student reportedly filed a lawsuit alleging she was drugged and sexually assaulted by multiple men at a fraternity house in 2024.

The case is still under legal review.

In her post, Pugh said she felt “uneasy and sick and anxious” after reading about the allegations.

She questioned why men who might have known about the incident did not step in and urged them to take a more active role against sexual violence.

Pugh wrote: “How can you expect us to trust that it’s ‘not all men’ when in moments like this, many of you stay quiet?”

The actress also highlighted the need for accountability and social responsibility in dealing with such issues.

The situation became more controversial when Pugh claimed Instagram restricted her post.

She later reported that parts of her statement were removed or not visible to some users.

She questioned whether her speaking publicly about sexual violence was resulting in her being “silenced”.

According to reports, some users encountered warnings or could not access the full statement.

It remains unclear why Instagram restricted the content or whether it was due to the subject matter, the platform’s moderation systems, or user reports.

Supporters of Pugh argued that posts discussing sexual violence should not be suppressed, regardless of the sensitive nature of the content.
