\n The Spectator has published its annual table of 79 schools which received the most Oxbridge offers last year, with a few Oxfordshire schools making the list.\n<\/p>\n
\n The Cherwell School, on Marston Ferry Road in Summertown, had 67 students apply last year, with 19 of them getting offers, this means it has an offer rate of 28 per cent.\n<\/p>\n
\n This left the academy only 57th on the list of all UK schools with the most offers from Cambridge or Oxford University.\n<\/p>\n

\n The first school on the list was Westminster School in London with an offer rate of 48 per cent.\n<\/p>\n
\n Independent school Magdalene College School was also ranked highly at number 31, with an offer rate of 32 per cent.\n<\/p>\n
\n Also on the list was private school Radley College which had a 33 per cent acceptance rate, when 17 students out of the 52 that applied this year got in.\n<\/p>\n
\n Abingdon School, also in Abingdon, also had 17 of its students get into either Oxford or Cambridge university.\n<\/p>\n
\n The top state schools on the list were Hills Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge, Peter Symonds College in Winchester, Woodhouse College in Finchley, and Harris Westminster Sixth Form.\n<\/p>\n
\n In May this year The Cherwell School was rated Oxford’s best secondary school for GCSE’s by The Telegraph.\n<\/p>\n
\n The Cherwell School is an academy with a sixth form, and 36.8% of its pupils get 5s or higher in their English Baccalaureate, while the national average is 18% and the local average is 18.1%.\n<\/p>\n
