{"id":1358,"date":"2026-09-28T16:13:59","date_gmt":"2026-09-28T16:13:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stock789.top\/?p=1358"},"modified":"2026-09-28T16:13:59","modified_gmt":"2026-09-28T16:13:59","slug":"witney-pub-wins-pub-of-the-year-from-prestigious-uk-brewery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stock789.top\/?p=1358","title":{"rendered":"Witney pub wins pub of the year from prestigious UK brewery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordmail.co.uk\/resources\/images\/16189171\/\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n  The Eagle Tavern, on Corn Street, was awarded pub of the year by Hook Norton Brewery.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The annual awards night from the Banbury brewery was held on Tuesday, September 24.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The awards recognise the achievements of pubs and individuals within the brewery&#8217;s local community.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A spokesperson for the pub said on social media said: &#8220;We\u2019d like to thank and congratulate all our staff, but also all of you for helping us make The Tavern such a magical place to be.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;A pub is only as good as its people, including the customers.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The pub was taken over in 2010 by Paul Spink and his sons, Tyler and Zac.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  READ MORE: Oxford sewage treatment works set for \u00a3340m renovation\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Hooky on tour van (Image: Hook Norton Brewery (Facebook))\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The trio, from Witney, already run the popular Fat Lil&#8217;s bar and club on the same street, which they took over 11 years ago.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  he Fox in Chipping Norton took the Best Pint award, while The Coach &amp; Horses in Banbury was recognised for its cellar management.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Great Western Arms in Aynho received the Best Newcomer title, and The Sun Inn in Hook Norton was named Community Pub of the Year.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Ye Olde Reinedeer Inn won the marketing award, The Red Lion in Steeple Aston was praised for its exterior, and Hook Norton Brewery&#8217;s Sharon Kane received a special recognition award for her contribution to the trade.<\/p>\n<p>#Witney #pub #wins #pub #year #prestigious #brewery<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Eagle Tavern, on Corn Street, was awarded pub of the year by Hook Norton Brewery.
