\n More details have been revealed about the status of Red Sky Shepherd’s Huts Limited after the company had liquidators appointed on September 15.\n<\/p>\n
\n Based at Bridewell Farm in North Leigh, liquidators from Opus Restructuring LLP were appointed with a further meeting involving the company’s creditors scheduled for September 28.\n<\/p>\n

\n In the meantime, a ‘statement of affairs’ has been published which reveals the state of the company’s finances, with creditors reported at \u00a3631,404.04.\n<\/p>\n

\n Among those owed the most are several connected loan creditors and Barclays Bank which is owed \u00a348,050.28 for an overdraft.\n<\/p>\n
\n Swinbrook & Wilcote estates, a landlord, said it is owed \u00a39,608.48, HM Revenue & Customs reported debts of \u00a380,183.84 and RTN Welding, based in Lincolnshire, said it is owed \u00a326,454.40.\n<\/p>\n
\n Several loan creditors were listed including Funding Circle and Lending Crowd which claimed \u00a331,026.93 and \u00a391,788.50 respectively.\n<\/p>\n

\n Among the others, Conde Nast Publications Ltd claimed it is owed \u00a39,000 while Heron Web, a trade creditor, listed debts of \u00a315,390.00.\n<\/p>\n
\n Red Sky is a family business, set up by Paul Bennett, based on the edge of the Cotswolds which creates a range of huts.\n<\/p>\n
\n Its customers have come from across the UK and most notably include former prime minister and Witney MP David Cameron.\n<\/p>\n

\n Following his 2016 resignation as the prime minister, leader of the Conservative party and as a member of parliament, he purchased one of the huts to write his memoirs in.\n<\/p>\n
\n It made headlines across the country.\n<\/p>\n
\n Now Baron Cameron of Chipping Norton, he spent \u00a325,000 on the hut in 2017 in which he penned ‘For the Record’ which was published in 2019.\n<\/p>\n

\n According to the Red Sky website, Mr Cameron said: “I basically Googled shepherd huts, found Paul\u2019s company and I liked the look of the website.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n “They were also local, which was very good.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The hut was designed in a classic shepherd hut shape with an arched roof, metal wheels and painted hardwood stable doors.\n<\/p>\n

\n It was a timber frame construction with tongue and groove interior pine walls.\n<\/p>\n

\n Referring to his wife, Mr Cameron added: “Samantha makes all the design decisions in this family.\u00a0As ever she has made a very good choice.”\n<\/p>\n
\n When asked about the increasing popularity of shepherd huts, which is in part because they don’t require planning permission, he said his was “particularly lovely”.\n<\/p>\n
\n He said: \u201cYes – they are sprouting up everywhere \u2013 but I think this one is particularly lovely. It\u2019s a very nice colour, which goes with the Cotswold stone and we really love it.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
