\n Jaskulla Mentoring, a Community Interest Company (CIC), has been shortlisted in the UK Social Enterprise Awards for its work supporting vulnerable young people in Oxfordshire.\n<\/p>\n
\n The awards, organised by Social Enterprise UK and Co-operatives UK, celebrate businesses that reinvest profits to achieve social or environmental aims.\n<\/p>\n
\n Sarah Neyland, co-director at Jaskulla Mentoring, said: “To be shortlisted for the ‘One to Watch’ award is an incredible honour for our entire team.\n<\/p>\n
\n “When we started Jaskulla Mentoring, we knew that traditional, rigid educational systems were failing children who simply needed to feel seen, understood, and safe.\n<\/p>\n
\n “This nomination not only recognises our rapid growth, but, more importantly, validates our trauma-informed, relational approach.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It shines a light on the incredible resilience of the young people we work with, and proves that when you empower the entire community around a child \u2013 the school and the family \u2013 true healing and belonging can happen.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Jaskulla Mentoring provides trauma-informed, therapeutic mentoring for children with complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.\n<\/p>\n
\n The organisation works closely with families and educators to deliver coaching, parental support, and tailored interventions to support children before they reach crisis point.\n<\/p>\n
\n Based on the belief that ‘it takes a village to raise a child,’ the CIC aims to help young people move from exclusion to a sense of belonging.\n<\/p>\n
\n Jaskulla Mentoring will find out if it has won the ‘One to Watch’ category at a ceremony in Manchester\u2019s Co-operative Quarter on November 12.\n<\/p>\n
\n There are more than 100,000 social enterprises in the UK, employing over two million people and contributing \u00a360 billion to the economy.\n<\/p>\n
