\n The ranking, published by coworking provider Co-Space, compared 16 major coworking markets and placed Oxford at the bottom of the list, just below London.\n<\/p>\n
\n Each city was scored on housing affordability, coworking costs, workspace availability, and congestion.\n<\/p>\n
\n Aberdeen topped the ranking with a score of 77.8 out of 100, followed by Warrington, Liverpool, Manchester, and Nottingham.\n<\/p>\n
\n William Stokes, CEO and co-founder of Co-Space, said: “Remote working has changed what people should be looking for in a place to work.\n<\/p>\n
\n “If you’re no longer commuting into an office every day, there’s much less reason to automatically gravitate towards the biggest city or the most expensive business district.”\n<\/p>\n
\n London scored 32.5 and Oxford just 16.4, indicating that remote workers may find better value and convenience outside traditional business hubs.\n<\/p>\n
\n Mr Stokes said: “For someone working remotely five days a week, a coworking space isn’t simply somewhere to put a laptop.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It can provide structure to the working day, opportunities to meet people and a clear separation between work and home.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The ranking highlights the growing importance of affordable and accessible coworking options for fully remote workers, who now make up an estimated 14 per cent of the UK workforce.\n<\/p>\n
\n Co-Space\u2019s methodology was based on CoworkingCafe\u2019s Q2 2026 UK & Ireland Coworking Report, and all data was current as of September 2026.\n<\/p>\n
