\n Randy\u2019s Donuts, which opened its first store in Inglewood, Los Angeles in 1952, looks set to launch in Edinburgh.\n<\/p>\n
\n The brand is known for its giant 30-foot rooftop doughnut sign and its menu of doughnuts, breakfast sandwiches, coffees, and cold drinks.\n<\/p>\n
\n A planning application has been submitted to Edinburgh City Council for a site on Forrest Road, formerly occupied by Barburrito.\n<\/p>\n
\n The location is in the heart of the city\u2019s Old Town, close to the University of Edinburgh, the National Museum of Scotland, and the Royal Mile.\n<\/p>\n
\n The application is for exterior changes, including an illuminated Randy\u2019s Donuts logo.\n<\/p>\n
\n An opening date has not been confirmed, but the company\u2019s website states the Edinburgh site is “coming soon.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Mark Kalegian said: “We are thrilled to announce that Randy’s Donuts is coming to the UK.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We are confident that out unique brand and delicious doughnuts will be a hit with UK customers as it has been in Asia, the Middle East and the USA.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Randy\u2019s Donuts currently operates more than 30 locations in the US and dozens more worldwide.\n<\/p>\n

\n Chuck E. Cheese is a well-known chain over in the US, which has plenty of features for children, including arcade games and soft-play.\n<\/p>\n
\n The brand\u2019s inaugural UK branch, which is set to open in late 2026, will also be its first in Europe.\n<\/p>\n
\n At the time of writing, a specific location has not been revealed for this.\n<\/p>\n
\n Alistair Burnett, the brand\u2019s managing director, said: \u201cBringing Chuck E Cheese to the UK is not just a business move.\n<\/p>\n
