\n Some creditors of the collapsed beer company BrewDog\u2019s retail arm are not expected to receive anything from its administration.\n<\/p>\n
\n A report from administrators AlixPartners said there were \u201cinsufficient funds\u201d to pay out creditors owed money when the company collapsed.\n<\/p>\n
\n This includes debts related to unpaid wages and accrued holiday pay of \u00a3489,000 in the retail arm of the business.\n<\/p>\n

\n Workers who lost their jobs when BrewDog\u2019s retail company collapsed were compensated under the redundancy payments scheme and this sum is owed to the government.\n<\/p>\n
\n Earlier this year, US drinks firm Tilray snapped up BrewDog\u2019s brand, intellectual property, UK breweries and 11 bars in a rescue deal for about \u00a333 million.\n<\/p>\n
\n The administration process saw BrewDog shut 36 bars, hitting almost 500 workers, before it was snapped up by new owners. Its branch in Oxford’s Cowley Road closed in mid-2025.\n<\/p>\n
\n The takeover deal also rendered the shares of about 200,000 crowdfunding investors to be worthless.\n<\/p>\n
\n The administrators\u2019 report into Brewdog PLC and its retail arm says around \u00a3489,000 is owed in relation to retail employee wages arrears and accrued holiday pay.\n<\/p>\n
\n A further \u00a32.4 million is owed to HMRC for unpaid VAT.\n<\/p>\n
\n The report says there are now \u201cinsufficient funds available\u201d to allow for a distribution to these \u201cpreferential creditors\u201d.\n<\/p>\n
\n This is due to a \u201creduced level of realisations\u201d for the retail business and increased costs during the administration period.\n<\/p>\n
\n The report said that those made redundant were provided with information on government support.\n<\/p>\n
\n Brewdog PLC also owes around \u00a3190 million to unsecured creditors.\n<\/p>\n
\n They are expected to receive less than a penny in the pound of what they are owed, according to the report.\n<\/p>\n
\n Brewdog\u2019s new owners Tilray have been approached for comment.\n<\/p>\n
