\n Liquidators have been appointed for Red Sky Shepherd’s Huts Limited, a company based at Bridewell Farm in North Leigh, after a meeting on September 3.\n<\/p>\n
\n Liquidators from Opus Restructuring LLP have been appointed with a further meeting involving the company’s creditors scheduled for September 28.\n<\/p>\n

\n A statement on The Gazette said: \u201cThat the company be wound up voluntarily and that Mark Siddall (IP No. 028890) and Colin David Wilson (IP No. 9478) both of Opus Restructuring LLP, 1 Radian Court, Knowlhill, Milton Keynes, MK5 8PJ be and are hereby appointed Joint Liquidators for the purpose of such winding up.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Red Sky is a family business, set up by Paul Bennett, based on the edge of the Cotswolds which creates a range of huts.\n<\/p>\n
\n Its description states: “Our team of talented craftspeople, paint finishers, and designers share a passion for creating innovative huts that are full of character.\n<\/p>\n

\n “We are proud specialists in designing and building bespoke shepherd\u2019s huts, working in collaboration with you every step of the way.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Its customers have come from across the UK and most notably include former prime minister and Witney MP David Cameron.\n<\/p>\n
\n Following his 2016 resignation as the prime minister, leader of the Conservative party and as a member of parliament, he purchased one of the huts to write his memoirs in.\n<\/p>\n

\n Now Baron Cameron of Chipping Norton, he spent \u00a325,000 on the hut in 2017 in which he penned ‘For the Record’ which was published in 2019.\n<\/p>\n
\n According to the Red Sky website, Mr Cameron said: “I basically Googled shepherd huts, found Paul\u2019s company and I liked the look of the website.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n “They were also local, which was very good.”\n<\/p>\n

\n The hut was designed in a classic shepherd hut shape with an arched roof, metal wheels and painted hardwood stable doors.\n<\/p>\n
\n It was a timber frame construction with tongue and groove interior pine walls.\n<\/p>\n
\n Referring to his wife, Mr Cameron added: “Samantha makes all the design decisions in this family.\u00a0As ever she has made a very good choice.”\n<\/p>\n
\n When asked about the increasing popularity of shepherd huts, which is in part because they don’t require planning permission, he said his was “particularly lovely”.\n<\/p>\n

\n He said: \u201cYes – they are sprouting up everywhere \u2013 but I think this one is particularly lovely. It\u2019s a very nice colour, which goes with the Cotswold stone and we really love it.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\n In its latest accounts, for the year to September 30, 2025, the company recorded creditors falling within one year of \u00a3509,303.\n<\/p>\n
\n This included for bank loans and overdrafts, trade creditors and taxation and social security.\n<\/p>\n
\n Its average number of employees was put down at 14, having been 11 in 2024.\n<\/p>\n
\n Red Sky Shepherd’s Huts has been approached for comment.\n<\/p>\n
