\n 3 Flavours, an Italian restaurant on Bar Street in Banbury, has called out customers leaving without paying the bill on social media, rather than using solely the help of the police.\n<\/p>\n
\n In a social media post yesterday the restaurant called out a family of three who left without paying the bill.\n<\/p>\n
\n They said the family left the restaurant very quickly and were seen running away from the premises.\n<\/p>\n
\n The eatery appealed to the family to get in touch before they pursue the matter further, and for others to get in touch if they know anything.\n<\/p>\n

\n The restaurant also put out an appeal for help after their windows were smashed by two men and their restaurant vandalised in August this year.\n<\/p>\n
\n The appeal urged customers to help identify the thieves and alert them of anyone suspicious after the incident caused “significant financial loss as well as a great deal of emotional stress”.\n<\/p>\n
\n And the eatery is not the only one to appeal on social media, award-winning fish and chip shop Harrisons Fish & Chips in Botley sounded the alarm earlier this year when a drum of waste oil was stolen outside their Elms Parade location.\n<\/p>\n
\n In a post on social media, a spokesperson for the chippy said: “Once again, our waste oil has been stolen.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Unfortunately, this isn\u2019t the first time this has happened. In the past, we\u2019ve had to take measures such as storing our waste oil inside the shop overnight to prevent theft.”\n<\/p>\n
\n According to the BBC ‘dine and dash’ thefts are rising across the UK, with roughly a third of hospitality businesses reporting that they have been affected by customers leaving without paying their bills.\n<\/p>\n
