\n Despite operating from a one-bedroom flat, the business generated more than \u00a340,000 in cake sales over the past year after securing the pitch.\n<\/p>\n
\n Owner Evie Chapman, who left her NHS job to run the business full-time, regularly sold up to 16 trays of cinnamon rolls at Wednesday and Saturday market pop-ups.\n<\/p>\n
\n Alongside cake slabs, muffins, brownies and cookies, all baked in a domestic oven, the treats often sell out within just a few hours.\n<\/p>\n

\n Demand has increased to the point where the flat is no longer suitable for production.\n<\/p>\n
\n The bakery had hoped to move into a commercial unit after a year of searching, but the deal recently fell through.\n<\/p>\n
\n Ms Chapman said: “We are now looking for further funding and suitable retail space so that we can continue growing the business and meet the demand for our products.”\n<\/p>\n
\n As a result, the bakery has made the difficult decision to leave Wantage Market.\n<\/p>\n
\n Ms Chapman said: “It has been an incredibly emotional decision, particularly after the amazing support we have received from the local community.\n<\/p>\n

\n “Our final appearances have seen sell-out pop-ups and queues for our cinnamon buns, and the response to our departure from the market has been overwhelming.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Despite the setback, she remains optimistic about the future.\n<\/p>\n
\n Ms Chapman said: “What started as a small business being run from a flat has grown into something far bigger than we could have imagined, and I\u2019m incredibly excited to see what comes next.”\n<\/p>\n
